A relatively common species in Derbyshire and present in all areas of the county. Largest numbers found on the Coal Measures and Limestone areas. A very strikingly marked moth with a bright and distinctive hind wing. Unfortunately not easy to photograph showing the thick black border to the otherwise orange/yellow colour of the hind wing.
