2158 Pale-shouldered Brocade - Lacanobia thalassina.

Trapped - Foremark Reservoir, Derbyshire.
A fairly common and generally well distributed species in Derbyshire. Largest numbers found in the South & East of the county. The striking pale patches at the base of the forewing (hence it’s name) and the overall reddish brown colour are clues to the species identification.
On the wing May- late July.

Food plant - A wide range of mainly woody plants including oaks, hawthorns and honeysuckle.
