2166 Campion - Hadena rivularis.
Trapped - Newall, Derbyshire - May 2004. Another species that is widely distributed in Derbyshire but is not common. It is recorded in low numbers but appears to be in higher numbers in the south of the county. The purplish pink marbling, which is a diagnostic feature of this species, can be seen on the forewing, indicating that this is a freshly emerged specimen.. On the wing May- June.
Food plant - The ripening seeds of White and Red Campion and Ragged Robin.
