2243 Early Grey - Xylocampa areola.

Trapped - Melbourne, Derbyshire - 2003 & 2005.
A common and well distributed species in Derbyshire and another early flying spring moth. It is well established throughout the south and east of the county. On the wing from March - May, sometimes as early as February.

Food plant - Wild and cultivated Honeysuckles.
