2364 Frosted Orange - Gortyna flavago.

Trapped - Melbourne, Derbyshire - September 2004.
Widely distributed and fairly common locally in Derbyshire. Found on areas of poorly managed grassland and waste land, being particularly locally common in the Trent Valley. A typical autumn moth. On the wing from late August to October.


Food plant - Robust herbaceous plants, particularly thistles burdocks and foxglove.
