This confiding 1st winter individual spent several days at Chapel Fields and along the edge of the cricket pitch on St.Agnes. It was one of two birds present during our week of 11- 18th October.

Red-breasted Flycatchers are regular autumn visitors to the Isles of Scilly and they usually perform very well giving excellent views at times.

It is usually first winter birds that arrive in October and this is a typical individual.

These pictures were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 and Leica APO 62 mm,
32x ww with Eagle Eye adaptor.
