1907 Bordered Beauty - Epione repandaria.

Trapped - Kings Newton, Melbourne, Derbyshire July 2005
.

A scarce and locally distributed species, being restricted to the lowland areas in the south of the county. However it seems to maintain a somewhat precarious existence amongst isolated patches of willow carr, especially in the Trent Valley. Between 1969 - 1986 a total of 24 specimens had been trapped at sites within the southern Trent Valley plain. There seems to be a distinct lack of modern day records, so this specimen could be the first Derbyshire record for some considerable time.
On the wing from July - early September.

Food plant - Sallows, Black Poplar, Alder and Hazel.
