1725 Dark-barred Twin-spot Carpet - Xanthorhoe ferrugata. 2002 Status - Red Data Endangered

Classed as a widely distributed and locally common species in Derbyshire. The largest numbers tend to be in the Trent Valley and the Coal Measure regions of the county.

Current British status at 2002 is Endangered.


On the wing from May - late June and Mid-July to early September.

Food plant - Bedstraws docks and Ground Ivy.
