ABOUT

1839 Bordered Pug - Eupithecia succenturiata.

Trapped - Kings Newton, Melbourne, Derbyshire July 2005
.

Fairly common locally in lowland areas of Derbyshire. It appears to be absent from the Peak District but widely distributed elsewhere in the county although generally scarce. It is possible that local populations are affected each year due to the reclamation of derelict land, its principal habitat in the region. On the wing from July to August.

Food plant - Mugwort.
