2305 Small Angle Shades - Euplexia lucipara.

A resident, common and widely spread species in Derbyshire. One of the few species of Moth whose larvae feed upon Bracken (Pteridium aquilinum). Therefore it is recorded wherever this plant flourishes, however, the largest population densities have been recorded in the lowland region, particularly areas within the Trent Valley. On the wing from mid-June to mid-August.

Food plant - Bracken in particular and other herbaceous and woody plants.
