2147 The Shears - Hada plebeja.

Trapped - Newall, Derbyshire 4th June 2006.

This species appears to be confined to the upland areas of Derbyshire where it is locally common.
Records from the Trent Valley of this species appear to be very rare and this specimen may represent the first South Derbyshire record.
On the wing from late May - early July.

Food plant - Herbaceous plants including Smooth Hawk’s-beard and Mouse-ear-hawkweed.
