1773 Broken-barred Carpet - Electrophaes corylata.

Trapped - Kings Newton, Derbyshire 4th June 2006.

In 1986 described as a common and widely distributed species at well wooded sites in Derbyshire, with the Trent Valley area of South Derbyshire holding the largest numbers. However despite the above statement, this specimen represents the first record from the area in 4 years of trapping.
On the wing from late May - early July.

Food plant - Various broad-leaved trees.
