ABOUT

2138 Green Arches - Anaplectoides prasina.

Trapped - Robin Wood, South Derbyshire - 23rd June 2006.

This species seems to be uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. However 2006 seems to be an excellent year for this moth. Good numbers have been reported in the county and many have been trapped at sites in the Trent Valley, where it has previously been recorded in very small numbers. The moth is found in its highest densities in the Carboniferous Limestone Dales.
On the wing from June - Early August.

Food plant - A variety of herbaceous plants including Primrose, docks and Honeysuckle.
