The current status of this species in Derbyshire is probably locally rare. Up to 1986 the species was described as rare and restricted to South Derbyshire. In the early twentieth century described as common in some seasons at sites such as Repton Shrubs & Willington. However in recent years very few records from the south but a scattering of records from central Derbyshire. (Darley Dale, Matlock areas). These are the first records in the south of the county for some 20 years.
On the wing from late June - Mid August.

Food plant - Bramble, Dewberry, Raspberry & Hazel
