2322 Light Arches - Apamea lithoxylaea.

Trapped - Melbourne, South Derbyshire - July 2006.

A widespread species but generally localised in Derbyshire. Its population density varies and appears to be caught only in small numbers. It is probably more common in the south and east of the county, than in the upland region of the north. On the wing from early July - mid August..

Food plant - Flowers, seeds and stem-bases of grasses including Annual Meadow-grass.
