1690 Small Blood-vein - Scopula imitaria.

Trapped - Melbourne, South Derbyshire - August 2006.

Appears to be wide spread in South Derbyshire, but generally local. Where it does exist, it is fairly common. Prior to the use of MV Light Traps, the species was considered to be rare in the county. Unsure of the status in North Derbyshire but may be absent north of the Trent Valley.
On the wing mainly during July - mid August with sometimes a second generation in September-October.

Food plant - possibly Privet, Honeysuckle and maybe a range of herbaceous plants
