2289 Knot Grass - Acronicta rumicis.

Current status of this dagger in South Derbyshire is uncertain as it is probably not as common as it once was. Despite being described as a common species, especially in the lowland areas, this is the first specimen to be caught in the south of the county for many years.
On the wing during late May through to September.

Food plant - A variety of herbaceous woody plants.
