Trapped - Melbourne, Derbyshire - June 2005.
Widely distributed and locally abundant. An unusual moth to catch in Melbourne, considering that it frequents pine woods, which are some distance away from the site where this specimen was trapped. On the wing from June to late July.
Food plant - Mainly mature Scots Pine but sometimes other conifers such as spruce & larch.
