1980 Eyed Hawkmoth - Smerinthus ocellata.

Trapped - Kings Newton, Derbyshire - June 2004 .

Widely distributed throughout Derbyshire and locally reasonably common. It is usually found in good numbers in the Trent Valley .
On the wing from May to June.

Food plant - Wild and cultivated willows and sallows. Apple and wild & ornamental Crab Apple.
