STATUS Widespread throughout the county where there is Apple & Hawthorn

ID POINTERS – A distinctive species with upturned wingtips, which are characteristic of this group. A characteristic are the three pairs of raised tufts of scales clearly visible when the moth is at rest. Forewing chestnut brown and with a contrasting pale brownish yellow  band.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing July – August
