STATUS – Rare in Derbyshire with very few records. Not mentioned in the 1989 Harrison & Sterling Butterflies & Moths of Derbyshire.
ID POINTERS – Fairly distinctive in appearance. Dark brown or greyish-brown in the forewing with scattered yellow scales and four yellow blotches varying in size.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during the day in June & July
