STATUS Common but locally scattered across the county. Food plant is Thistle.

ID POINTERS – Forewing a dark brown with two angled whitish cross-bands.The whitish cross-band nearest to the wing tips has a small rounded brown spot along the inner margin of the outer cross-band.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May – September
