STATUS – Common and widespread across the county.
ID POINTERS – A very variable species but can usually be identified by the darker area towards the head and a dark brown triangular mark on the forewing forming a diamond shape when the moth is at rest.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during July-August
