Tortricidae – Olethreutinae – Gypsonoma dealbana

STATUS Common and widespread across the county. Feeds on a variety of trees.

ID POINTERS – Can be told from other gypsonoma species by the creamy white patch on front of head. Two thirds of forewing is white with basal third dark brown or greyish-brown. Bluish-grey markings towards the rear end of the wings and a small black streak near the middle of the wing at about two thirds. A small orangey-brown triangular spot at wing tip.
