STATUS Unknown – not listed in Harrison & Sterling (1988) – Assume localised in Derbyshire. Preferred habitat is Beech.

ID POINTERS – Forewing blackish or blackish-brown. Speckled with whitish-grey or greyish. A whitish-grey central cross-band. The costa has whitish variable length streaks. The large ocellus is edged metallic leaden containing three or four black dashes or dots.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May – August
