Crambidae – Pyraustinae – Anania coronata – 

STATUS – Locally common mainly in the southern half of the county. On Elder.

ID POINTERS – Forewing a greyish brown with various white markings including a rectangular white spot about half way down the leading edge and a large white spot in the central area near the wing tip. Several large white spots on the hind wing. A smart and easily identified pyralid.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during May – September
