 STATUSLast recorded 2022 – A resident in Derbyshire but scarce and local in populations. Usually recorded as singles at light primarily in the south and east of the county.
 
ID POINTERS – An unmistakeable moth, easy to ID by the intricate scalloping to the outer-edge of the forewing. There are also two parallel cross-lines running through the forewing. and a small dark spot near the middle. The moth has a very distinctive resting posture.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing – May – August
