STATUS – A resident and a common species in Derbyshire. Widely distributed throughout the county.
ID POINTERS – The moth is quite distinctive, and at rest looking very much like a bird dropping.
The wings are held “tent-like” over the body.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing – May through August.
