STATUS – A resident species, common and widely distributed throughout Derbyshire. Sometimes found in large numbers and often seen on the wing during the day.
ID POINTERS – A silver-grey to greyish-white species with a darker grey broken cross-band. There are three distinct dark grey patches on the forewing which eliminate other carpets that are similar.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing between May – September
