Common Carpet Geometridae – Larrentiinae – Epirrhoe alternata alternata – colour code

STATUS – A resident species, common and widely distributed throughout Derbyshire. Occurs in all areas of the county with large populations in the southern areas.
 
ID POINTERS – A silver-grey to greyish-white species with a darker black or brown central cross-band. The cross band has one rather blunt point. 
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing between  July – September
