STATUS – A resident species with regular records since 1991-93. Since 1998 recorded as common with a good population now located in the south of the county. Seemingly now becoming well spread throughout Derbyshire.
 
ID POINTERS – A fairly distinctive species with ground colour being a somewhat emerald green with a central cross-band of reddish-purple, intersected with green. Usually intricate marbling across the forewing and a small white blemish towards the wing tip on the leading edge.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing between September- November and then in the spring after hibernation.
