STATUS – A resident species that is not common but widely distributed throughout Derbyshire. Found mainly in southern and eastern areas of the county. Rather scarce in the north.
 
ID POINTERS – An unmistakeable moth. Bright yellow with a strong coppery brown central cross-band on the forewing and large creamy blotches at the wing tip.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing between July – August.
