STATUS – A resident species that is locally common and widely distributed in the county. It is a species that is associated with water and damp habitat. Adults are often trapped well away from their preferred habitat. The two specimens shown here are well worn which would indicate they may have traveled some distance from water.
 
ID POINTERS – Usually grey or greenish grey ground colour. Two or three diagonal streaks near the tip of the forewing. Also shows  a pale central cross-band.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing between May – June.
