 STATUS – A resident in Derbyshire and a species which seems to have increased in distribution, following the first record in 1987. Records are now widespread throughout the county.
 
ID POINTERS – Numerous cross-lines through the forewing with a central dark discal spot that is obvious. A large pug that is brown or grey-brown in colour.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing – May – June
