STATUS – A woodland species only added to the county list in 1990. Now regarded as a common moth in Derbyshire woodlands.
 
 ID POINTERS – A fairly obvious spring flying moth, despite being very variable. The wing is broad and rounded giving it a distinctive appearance. The colour of the wing can vary from greenish to yellowish tones but is usually greyish. The cross bands are usually faint and pale but can be boldly marked as in form fasciata.
 
 FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing – April – May
