STATUS – A resident that is widely distributed but locally common throughout the county. Primarily found in largest densities in the southern lowlands.

 
ID POINTERS – An unmistakable moth. A large buff spot on the forewing tip and a buff patch on the front of the thorax give this moth its name.
 
FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing May – June
