STATUS – A resident species widely distributed and locally fairly common in Derbyshire.

ID POINTERS –  The moth is easy to identify by the large dark “pebble-like” patch on the outer area of the otherwise yellow-brown forewing. The “Pebble” is bordered by a black curved mark and a white wedge.

FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing May-June
