STATUS – A resident species in Derbyshire that is locally common on the northern upland areas of the county. It is widely distributed on heather moorlands and in the Carboniferous Limestone areas, being recorded from most of the dales.

ID POINTERS – An unmistakable moth. Black and cream patterning across upper wing with yellow & black patterning on hind wing.

FLIGHT PERIOD –  On the wing May – July.
