STATUS – A resident species in Derbyshire that is widely distributed but locally common, especially in the south of the county. The main areas of density are the Limestone Dales and the Trent Valley
ID POINTERS – An unmistakable triangular shaped moth that is beautifully marked. The delicate forewings are Dove Grey with two fluorescent pink spots on the trailing edge and a stripe down the leading edge that swells into a blob towards the wing tip. The hind wings are a bright fluorescent pink fringed with Dove Grey. The abdomen and head are black.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – August.
