STATUSLast recorded 2017 – A rare species in Derbyshire. First recorded in 2004 and then 3 records in June 2007 and then this record was in June 2010. Further scattered records from Long Eaton, Millers Dale and Pleasley during 2013-2017.

ID POINTERS – A short, broad and blunt winged looking moth. The dart on the forewing is club-shaped hence its name. A large kidney mark on a broad contrasting pale central cross band. The ground colour can range from purplish-brown, pale straw, grey-brown or pale brown.Lacks the dark collar which helps to split it from Heart and Dart.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August.
