STATUSLast recorded 2022 – A migrant and occasional resident species in Derbyshire. Regularly recorded in small numbers in all areas of the county.

ID POINTERS – A medium sized, dark bronze-brown moth that is easily recognised by a long black dart that runs vertically through the central area of the forewing and that also breaks through the kidney mark. There are also two pale wavy cross lines with the basal cross-line having a small dart extending towards the wing tip.

FLIGHT PERIOD – Can be recorded during April – July but most records August – October indicating migrant activity.
