STATUSA resident species that is widely distributed and common in the lowland areas of Derbyshire. Uncommon on upland areas in the north of the county.

ID POINTERS – A distinctive moth that looks like a small piece of broken twig or dry plant stem, due to the way in which it wraps its wings around the body when at rest. The ground colour is a straw-yellow with a reddish-brown patch at the basal area.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August.
