STATUSWas once a common species in Derbyshire during the 1970’s – 1980’s. In 2006 it was re-categorised as endangered with a drastic decline in population. Now only recorded in very small numbers over a wide area of the county.

ID POINTERS – The broad forewing can be a plain grey-brown; soft light brown or dark mousy brown in colour. The two oval shaped “Darts” and the kidney mark all outlined in black are quite diagnostic.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August.
