STATUSA resident species that is widely distributed but generally uncommon throughout Derbyshire. Main population densities are found in the southern lowland areas of the county.

ID POINTERS – A chunky looking and broad-winged species. Greyish-brown with darker brown and black marbling, strong whitish veins and cross-lines creating a netted effect over the rounded forewing. A prominent oval and kidney mark.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing June – August
