STATUS – A resident that is fairly widely distributed and locally common in Derbyshire. Greatest density found on the coal measures of the county. It is not uncommon in the main river valleys of the south and central areas of Derbyshire.

ID POINTERS – The most diagnostic feature is the outermost cross-line which is jagged in shape, creamy white with an arrowhead or blotch mark along the inner edge. A variably coloured and rather broad shaped moth, with a wide forewing.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – July
