STATUS A resident that is fairly common in local areas where there are pine plantations in Derbyshire. The moth is more localised in the south due to a lack of ideal habitat.

ID POINTERS – A small moth that sometime wraps its wings around the body. Has a large creamy white kidney mark that expands outwards towards the leading edge of the wing. A narrow and point forewing with ground colour variable. Fairly unmistakable.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing April – May
