STATUS A resident that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. A species that is associated with ancient woodlands, especially in the south of the county.

ID POINTERS – The forewing of this autumn moth is a greyish black or grey or a dull green and the most distinguishing feature is a pale blotch in the central area next to the oval, bordered with black along the rear and central area. The green colour of the forewing can be very variable.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing August – October.
