STATUS A resident that is common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. Found in all woodland localities throughout the county, particularly in lowland areas.

ID POINTERS – A fairly easy and variable coloured moth to identify. A distinctive cross-band through the central forewing bordered by two cross-lines, the basal being angled diagonally and the outer being wavy. Nondescript oval and kidney marks.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing July – September.
