STATUS A resident that is locally common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. Locally common in the south and east but generally found in all areas of the county where it inhabits wasteland and poorly managed grassland.

ID POINTERS – A diagnostic moth with striking golden yellow central cross-band bordered either side with a bronze coloured cross-band. Oval and kidney marks are quite obvious. Wings are sharply pointed. A golden basal band and also a small golden cross-band along outer edge.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing August – October.
