STATUS A resident that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. Favours old deciduous woodland in the lowland areas of the county. Numbers recorded each year are in single figures.

ID POINTERS – An unmistakable moth. Bright green with three white parallel diagonal lines running through the broad forewing. Each line is edged in darker green and there is also another line that fringes the outer wing edge. Leading edge is white and outer edge fringed with olive green in female. Slightly smaller than Scarce Silver-lines. The male has a reddish pink forewing fringe and pinkish antennae and legs. Female hind wing white in male yellow.

FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing May – July.
